Biography
Sabine Siesling is a senior researcher in the Breast Cancer team. In her research she focuses on the effect of interventions, such as organization of care in care pathways, implementation of guidelines. In addition, she also focuses on the use of new technologies (including apps, improved imaging) on the quality and organization of care. She often uses the data in the NKR for this. She stimulates and evaluates personalized care and aftercare by developing prediction models. Together with the Breast Cancer team and partners, she strives for the most appropriate treatment and aftercare trajectory for every patient with cancer, with the best possible outcome: (disease-free) survival and good quality of life.
Sabine Siesling completed her study Biomedical Sciences at Leiden University and is a clinical epidemiologist (B). In addition to her appointment at IKNL, she is a professor at the Department of Health Technology and Services Research at the University of Twente and holds the chair of Outcomes research and personalized cancer care or 'tailor-made cancer care'.
